Back in the summer of 1985, my husband and I were living overseas when he was in the military. I did child care in my home. I didn't know how the make corn dogs, so I took crescent dough and made my own version of corn dogs, without the stick. It was a big hit.

How to Make Wrapped hot dog in crescent dough

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Break open the packages of Pillsbury Crescent rolls and separate them into squares. Open the packages of hot dogs and set aside. Remove the plastic from the cheese and place them overlapping onto a plate.
  2. Lay the dough down on a clean surface and pinch the middles together. Wrap a square of cheese around a hot dog and then roll the hot dog up in the Crescent dog, making sure the ends of the hot dog are also covered. Do this with each hot dog.
  3. Place wrapped hot dogs onto a non greased cookie sheet and place in the oven. Make for about 12 minutes or until dough is lightly brown.
