Ingredients
- 8 cups shredded cabbage (1 1/2 to 2 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons chopped pimentoes
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup vinegar (i use white vinegar)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon mustard seed
How To Make vinegar slaw

Step 1In a large bowl, combine cabbage, pimentoes, green pepper & onion. Toss lightly; set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 20-25 min. until slightly thickened.

Step 2Pour over cabbage mixture. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Will keep in refrigerator several days.
