How to Make Turkey Stuffing

  1. chop celery, onions and garlic. Saute in 1 cup of the butter until soft. Add 1 qt of chicken stock and allow to simmer for approx 10 min. sprinkle 3 tbs of poultry seasoning in while simmering, then set aside to cool
  2. mix bread cubes, corn bread mix contents and the other 3 tbs of seasoning, salt and pepper on large bowel or large stock pot.
Add cooled ingredients to the bread and another qt of chicken stock. Add the eggs and mix with your hands very well. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  3. Stuff the bird if you please, otherwise place in large aluminum pan. If not moist enough at that time, sprinkle some water over stuffing and mix with a spoon prior to baking. Also, drizzle approx 1/2 cup melted butter over top of stuffing
    Cover with foil
  4. Place in 350 degree oven and bake approx 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. Remove foil approx 15 min before you think it is done and let it brown. You can even turn up the heat to 450.
