turkey dressing/ stuffing
(1 RATING)
This recipe was given to me by a very dear friend about 20 years ago. I have faithfully made this for Thanksgiving since then and it has been a favorite of my family and any one who has ever tried it. It makes plenty to stuff a huge bird and still have plenty left over. This recipe is one of my all time favorites.

How To Make turkey dressing/ stuffing
-
Step 1Place dried bread cubes in large bowl.(You can use seasoned bread cubes, just use less poultry seasoning.) Sprinkle over the dried bread the poultry seasoning, pepper and salt. Set aside.
-
Step 2Melt better in a large skillet or pan. Add onions, celery and carrots and almonds. Saute vegetables until tender (do not brown.)
-
Step 3Pour vegetables and chicken broth over dried bread cubes. Toss lightly to mix, this will take a minute or so. (Add more chicken broth if necessary). Cool mixture. Stuff turkey cavities. Bake turkey according to directions.
-
Step 4Take left-over stuffing and place in a foil lined 13x9 dish. Mix the can of cream of chicken soup with 3/4 of a soup can with milk. Pour over stuffing. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour.
