This recipe was given to me by a very dear friend about 20 years ago. I have faithfully made this for Thanksgiving since then and it has been a favorite of my family and any one who has ever tried it. It makes plenty to stuff a huge bird and still have plenty left over. This recipe is one of my all time favorites.

  • Step 2
Melt better in a large skillet or pan. Add onions, celery and carrots and almonds. Saute vegetables until tender (do not brown.)
  • Step 3
Pour vegetables and chicken broth over dried bread cubes. Toss lightly to mix, this will take a minute or so. (Add more chicken broth if necessary). Cool mixture. Stuff turkey cavities. Bake turkey according to directions.
  • Step 4
Take left-over stuffing and place in a foil lined 13x9 dish. Mix the can of cream of chicken soup with 3/4 of a soup can with milk. Pour over stuffing. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour.
