How to Make Tomato Pudding
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Stir together the tomatoes, 1/3 cup brown sugar, and the bread cubes. Pour into a buttered loaf pan (glass is best, but metal will also work).
- Top with the sliced and buttered bread halves and sprinkle evenly with the remaining brown sugar.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, until bread on top is nicely browned, puffy, and crisp. Let it get good and brown.
