This is a family favorite. I make it every Thanksgiving and always end up giving the recipe to all of our female guests...Everyone loves it!

  • 3 lb
    yams (about 6 yams) baked and skinned
  • 1 stick
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    orange zest
  • 1/2 c
    whipped cream, unsweetened
  • 3
    eggs, whip until creamy

How to Make Thanksgiving Yam Soufffle


  1. Whip yams until smooth. Mix the first 6 ingredients together and whip til blended
  2. Beat the whipping cream til thick
  3. Beat the eggs til creamy, then fold into the cream.
  4. Fold the cream mixture into the yam mixture
  5. Pour into GREASED casserole dish
  6. Bake at 375* for 30 minutes..Yummy!
