texas beans with bacon
This is great take-a-long dish. It's a rich and wonderful side dish. I've made this for as long as I can remember. I used to take to work luncheons at AT&T, and it's a real man-pleaser.

How To Make texas beans with bacon
-
Step 1Fry bacon, drain, crumble and set aside. Drain all but about a tablespoon of the bacon fat, then brown the ground beef with onions.
-
Step 2Put all ingredients in a bean pot if you have one, or a ceramic baking dish and mix well. Bake 350 for 45 minutes. NOTE: If I don't double, I use a large or 2 small cans of baked beans and it goes a little farther.
