Ingredients
- 2 - large onions
- - oil for frying
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups ice water
- 1 cup flour
How To Make tempura onion rings

Step 1large bowl of cold water,soak onions for 10-15 minutes drain on paper towels in deep pot heat 2 inches oil over med. high heat

Step 2fill a large bowl halfway with ice

Step 3wisk the flour, cornstarch, baking powder & salt in a med bowl

Step 4Place the batter bowl inside the bowl of ice to keep cold coat onion rings & fry

Step 5Note; you may want to limit the salt to 1/2 tsp.. it is a very salty dish
