You know when you reinvent something good and find out that the one your grandma made was the best one? This is the case here. Yes, it's cake. It is Sweet Cornbread, just the way Grandma made. After trying many things, like jalapenos, green chilis, corn, cheese, blah blah blah...My kids and us always came back to my sweet cornbread recipe, and they always ask me to bring it. I got done experimenting. It's just sweet cornmeal cake and it will go well with your chili and anything else you like to serve cornbread with!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 2 eggs beaten
How To Make sweet cornbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Mix all dry ingredients together, add wet ingredients and mix.

Step 3The batter will be thin. Pour batter into greased 8x8 baking dish. Bake 35 - 40 minutes until cracked on top and center does not jiggle.
