stir-fry chow mein noodles

My daughter and I love the noodles at our local Chinese food restaurant. This is so close and we can make it so easily at home. We sometimes leave out the pork or switch it out for chicken, steak or shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 1 package chow mein noodles
  • 3/4 pound lean, ground pork
  • 3 - green onions, halved lengthwise and cut crosswise into 1 inch lengths
  • 1 - onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 cups (packed) shredded green cabbage
  • 1 - carrot coarsely shredded
  • 1/4 cup stir-fry sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make stir-fry chow mein noodles

  • Step 1
    Cook and drain noodles as directed
  • Step 2
    Heat wok or large frying pan over high heat
  • Step 3
    Add pork; stir fry 3-4 minutes, or until browned
  • Step 4
    Add onions; stir fry 1 minute
  • Step 5
    Mix in cabbage, carrot, noodles, stir fry sauce and pepper
  • Step 6
    Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes, or until all is combined and heated through
