Nothing beats good ole Southern Corn bread Dressing for Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners. I never knew what "stuffing" even was until I was much older. Growing up it was always my Granny's Dressing. You will do yourself and your family a favor for opting for the dressing this year for the Holidays! Go ahead and give it a try, I dare you!

    large pone cornbread
  • 1 stick
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 small
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 c
    chicken stock
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried sage
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup

How to Make Southern Cornbread Dressing


    2 Cups buttermilk cornmeal (I use White Lilly)
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
    2 eggs.
    Mix all ingredients together and pour into a HOT oiled iron skillet. Bake at 375 until golden brown.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and enough milk to make the mixture soupy. Pour into a HOT oiled iron skillet. Bake at 375 until golden brown.
