My family loves this recipe i make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I must tell you i make other times during the year as well because they beg me to.

Ingredients
- 2 to 3 - cakes of cornbread and any left over homemade biscuits you have
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 5 to 6 cans chicken broth
- 3 - eggs beaten
- 1 cup melted butter
- pinch sage, rubbed or dry to taste
- pinch thyme, dried to taste
- pinch poultry seasoning to taste
- pinch salt and pepper to taste
- - i do not measure in measurements in this recipe in this one i measure by taste
How To Make southern cornbread dressing

Step 1Heat oven to 350

Step 2In a large mixing bowl crumble up cornbread and biscuits

Step 3Add chicken broth,onion,melted butter,sage,thyme,poultry seasoning,and salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4Mix all together. Add more chicken broth to get it soupy but not thin continue adding all spices and salt and pepper till you get the taste you want

Step 5After it taste like you want it then add the beaten eggs mix well

Step 6Then pour into large baking pan { i use a 13x9 or larger } then bake at 350 for about 30min to 1 hr or until golden brown or knife inserted comes out clean

Step 7REMEMBER THIS RECIPE MAY CALL FOR MORE THAN ONE PAN TO BAKE IT IN MAKES A LOT OF DRESSING
