Ingredients
- 8 ounces pecans
- 1 pound sweet italian sausage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup apple, pared and cored
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 21 ounces plain croutons
- 13 3/4 ounces chicken broth

Step 1Cover nuts with water in saucepan, boil then simmer 15 min. Break in half and set aside. Fry sausage until brown and crumbly, drain fat, chop coarsely. Combine remaining ingredients, blend well. Chill while preparing a turkey for stuffing or put in greased casserole covered with foil. Cook last hour of turkey cooking.
