I've been experimenting with making homemade baked beans for cookouts and such. Well this has got to be the best so far.

  • 1 lb
    pinto beans -- dried
  • 1 bottle
    guinness stout
  • 1 (15 oz) can(s)
    beef broth
  • 1 clove
    roasted garlic -- minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 lb
    smoked bacon -- fried and crumbled
  • 1 medium
    vidalia onion -- diced
  • 1 medium
    red bell pepper -- diced
  • 1 medium
    green bell pepper -- diced
  • 1 bottle
    sweet baby ray's bbq sauce
  • 1 (15 oz) can(s)
    tomato sauce
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar

How to Make Rob's Baked Beans


  1. Cook your Pinto Beans in Crock Pot with the beer, beef broth, garlic, and chili powder until done and then drain your juices off beans.
  2. Fry bacon in skillet until done and then crumbled.
  3. Mix beans, bacon, bbq sauce, tomato sauce, brown sugar, onion, and bell pepper.
  4. After all is mixed well; then add to casserole pan and bake in oven until all the flavors combine.
