Red Cabbage with Apple

3bacon strips , diced
1 mediumonion, chopped
1 mediumapple,peeled and chopped
1 smallhead red cabbage , chopped
1/4 cwhite wine vinegar
How to Make Red Cabbage with Apple
- In a Dutch oven,cook the bacon over medium heat until the bacon crisp. Using slotted spoon,remove the bacon to paper towels to drain.
- In the drippings,saute onion and apple until tender. stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until tender. Stir in reserved bacon.
