Ingredients
- 11/2 cups red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed

- 1 small red onion
How To Make pickled red onions

Step 1Cut onion in half and slice thinly

Step 2Bring the vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds and 1 tablespoon salt to a boil in a small saucepan and cook until the sugar and salt dissolves, about 1 minute.

Step 3Transfer to a small bowl and let cool for 10 minutes. Add the onions and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours.
