This is my mom's recipe that she has been making for at least 50 years. Finally got her to write it down.

Ingredients
- 1 quart water
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon alum
- 1 tablespoon dill or large sprig
- 4-6 pints okra
How To Make pickled okra

Step 1Bring to a boil and pour over okra.

Step 2I use small okra and place dill and garlic in jars pack the jars then pour hot liquid over okra and seal

Step 3You can hot water bath them if you want to be sure that they seal
