  • 1 c
    celery, sliced fine
  • 1 c
    onion, sliced fine
  • 1/2 c
  • 8 oz
    oysters with liquid, canned
  • 2 c
    chicken stock or turkey stock
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 large
    loaf stale white bread, cubed
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp

How to Make Oyster Dressing/Stuffing, Grandma W


  1. Saute celery and onion in butter until soft. Add oysters, stock and eggs. Stir into bread seasoned with salt, seasoning and pepper. Bake at 325 degrees in greased casserole during the last 45 min to 1 hour of turkey's roasting time.
