Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 large sweet (vidalia) onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 - red onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 - bermuda or spanish onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 - leeks, washed and thinly sliced
  • 1-1/2 cup grated havarti cheese
  • 1 package 6 oz. herbed allouette or boursin cheese, crumbled
  • 1-1/2 cup grated gruyere cheese
  • 3/4 cup white wine

How To Make onions, onions, onions

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350^. Butter a large baking dish. Layer onions in dish--1/3 of each kind. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Top with Havarti.
  • Step 2
    Make another layer and top with the herbed cheese. Make another layer and top with gruyere. Dot top with butter. Pour wine over all. Bake 1 hour. Cover with foil if getting too dark.
