Ingredients

3 Tbsp
butter
2 large
sweet (vidalia) onions, thinly sliced
2
red onions, thinly sliced
2
bermuda or spanish onions, thinly sliced
2
leeks, washed and thinly sliced
1-1/2 c
grated havarti cheese
1 pkg
6 oz. herbed allouette or boursin cheese, crumbled
1-1/2 c
grated gruyere cheese
3/4 c
white wine

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350^. Butter a large baking dish.
    Layer onions in dish--1/3 of each kind. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Top with Havarti.
  • 2Make another layer and top with the herbed cheese.
    Make another layer and top with gruyere. Dot top with butter. Pour wine over all.
    Bake 1 hour. Cover with foil if getting too dark.
