How to Make ONION PIE
- Heat oven to 475^. Prepare pastry if making your own. Prick with fork; bake 8-10 minutes. Reduce oven temp to 300^.
Fry bacon until crisp; crumble. Saute onions in 2 tbsp. bacon fat until tender.
- In bowl, beat eggs slightly; stir in sour cream, salt, pepper, chives, onions and bacon. Pour into baked pie shell; bake 40-50 minutes or until silver knife inserted 1" from edge comes out clean.
