Ingredients
- 1 - 9" pie crust, homemade or store-bought
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 cups coarsely chopped onions
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1-1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1-1/2 teaspoon chopped chives
How To Make onion pie

Step 1Heat oven to 475^. Prepare pastry if making your own. Prick with fork; bake 8-10 minutes. Reduce oven temp to 300^. Fry bacon until crisp; crumble. Saute onions in 2 tbsp. bacon fat until tender.

Step 2In bowl, beat eggs slightly; stir in sour cream, salt, pepper, chives, onions and bacon. Pour into baked pie shell; bake 40-50 minutes or until silver knife inserted 1" from edge comes out clean.
