I have made this for family reunions and Christmas with the family. It is great with steak or grilled pork chops.

How to Make My Dad's Bloomin Onion

  1. Quarter the onions into 8 sections each. Break the layers of the onion down. Place into an oven safe casserole dish. Add ingredients. Mix ingredients with the onion to coat good. ( I use my hands it seems to be easier that way.) Cover with foil. Place in preheated 350 degree oven for 45min. You may cook longer if needed. Can adjust recipe if needed for larger amounts. I usually have to make for a larger crowd. Also you may need to add more butter or 57 sauce to the recipe. You will know as you mix together. You want to be sure the onion is coated well.
