Bisquick contains Trans-fats, which tend to raise LDL or the bad fat your body makes, so I thought I'd make my own from scratch using ingredients I like.

Ingredients
- 8 1/2 cups spelt flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups soy milk powder
- 2 1/4 cups coconut oil (not liquid)
How To Make my bisquick substitute

Step 1Sift the dry ingredients together and blend well. Using a pastry cutter, cut in shortening. This should resemble corn meal

Step 2Put in an airtight container and label it so you know when you made this, it will last 10-12 weeks.

Step 3Store in the fridge. Makes about 13 cups and can be used in place of Bisquick in any recipe.
