I grew up eating these beans that my mom made at Christmas Eve dinner and for picnics. I tweaked the recipe a little, but now my kids and the family I married into request them at family get togethers. They are just yummy, and easy to make. Enjoy!
1Saute onion and bell pepper for about 5 min in 2tbsp olive oil. Add meat and cook until meat is cooked through. Add salt and pepper and garlic powder to meat mixture during cooking. Drain if needed. Add tomato sauce, and beans and warm through. Top with cheese. Serve when cheese has melted. Yum!
