  • 2 lb
    dry beans ( navy, soldier, ect )
  • 1/2 lb
    turkey bacon or sausage
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2-1/3 c
    dark molasses
  • 2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • 1
    medium onion

How to Make moms baked beans


  1. Soak the beans over night in water.
  2. Cut onion in 1/4's and put in bottom of bean pot or dish.
  3. Add beans, add bacon or sausage over beans.
  4. Mix remaining ingredients with 2 cups water and pour over beans ann more water as necessary.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 hours aprox
