This is really great with beans or for people who do not like Mayo

Ingredients

  • 2 packages shredded cabbage
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

How To Make marinated cole slaw

  • Step 1
    Add cabbage, chopped bell pepper and onion. Do not mix. Pour 1 cup of sugar over all.
  • Step 2
    In a small saucepan add vinegar, oil, salt and dry mustard. Bring to a boil and then pour over cabbage mixture. Do not mix.
  • Step 3
    Cover and place in refrigerator overnight or for at least 4 hours. Mix before serving. Will last a week in refrigerator.
