macaroni and cheese with campanelle pasta

This was served at a birthday dinner for one of my daughter's best friends. Campanelle pasta is a cone shaped pasta with ruffled edges. It works very well with thick sauces but if you can't find in at your local grocers, use another larger noodle pasta. DELISH!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound box campanelle pasta, cooked and drained
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter (do not substitute)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 pound velveeta cheese
  • - grated cheddar cheese

How To Make macaroni and cheese with campanelle pasta

  • Step 1
    In medium sauce pan, bring the butter, flour, milk, and salt to a boil. Cut the Velveeta cheese into chunks and add to the milk mixture, stirring constantly until all is mixed well. Pour this mixture over the pasta (mixing well) and pour into casserole dish. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese all over the top and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. ENJOY!!
