lukshen kugel (noodle pudding)

This was my mother's recipe and I have been making this for a very long time. It is a big hit, with family and friends. I have made it for brunches, Hannukkah, and a few other jewish holidays. Hope you like it also.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (marg)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 pound cottage cheese
  • 1/2 pound cream cheese
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (i may add a little more, i like it sweet)
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How To Make lukshen kugel (noodle pudding)

  • Step 1
    Boil noodles until tender,drain noodles then add the 1st nine ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a 13x9 pan
  • Step 2
    Mix the last 3 ingredients into a small bowl until well blended. Sprinkle on top of batter.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degree oven for about 1 hr.
