Ingredients
- 5 large avocados, peeled and sliced
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons barbecue seasoning, divided
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 cups honey barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 cups crushed barbecue potato chips
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
How To Make louisiana cowboy avocado fries

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Position a baking rack on top of a baking sheet and spray the rack with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

Step 2In a shallow bowl, combine flour, barbecue seasoning, and cumin; whisk well until mixed.

Step 3In a medium mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard, and onion powder; stir together until blended. Reserve 3/4 cup.

Step 4In another shallow bowl, stir crushed barbecue potato chips, onion soup mix, and remaining barbecue seasoning together for 30 seconds.

Step 5Dredge avocado slices in the flour mixture, coating it completely. Shake off any excess.

Step 6Dip into the barbecue sauce mixture and then coat completely with potato chip mixture.

Step 7Place on the prepared baking rack. Repeat with remaining slices. Spray each avocado generously with more non-stick cooking spray.

Step 8Bake for about 15 minutes or until coating is crisp and golden brown. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Step 9Place on a large serving plate.Serve with 3/4 cup barbecue sauce mixture.
