These are so easy to make without all the preservatives you get from buying in the can.

I like to also add bacon but didn't have any..... Bacon doesn't last long in this house! LOL

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    dryed navy beans
  • 1 large
    white onion
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    molassas
  • 1 Tbsp
    liguid smoke
  • 1 Tbsp
    grey poupon
  • 1/4 c
    maple syrup
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup

How to Make Homemade Crock Pot Baked Beans

Step-by-Step

  1. Rinse and drain your navy beans and add with fresh water in a large crock pot. (You can soak them over night)
  2. Turn on high and cook until tender but not mushy.

    Drain the juice

    Add diced onion
  3. In a mixing bowl combine all other ingredients, mix up and add to your beans an onions. Cook on low for another hour.
