This recipe has some of the same ingredients as my chili, but it will be a hit no matter where or when you serve it!

Ingredients

  • 3 large
    cans favorite baked beans
  • 1 lb
    hamburger
  • 1 lb
    italian sausage, no casings
  • 1 lb
    polish sausage
  • 1 lb
    bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1 large
    green peppers, chopped
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    molasses
  • 4-6 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make Hobo Beans

Step-by-Step

  1. Fry up all meat. Set aside.
  2. Cut up peppers and onions, set aside.
  3. In a large baking pan or casserole dish, place bake beans, add meat mixture and peppers and onions and mix well.
  4. Add all seasoning including molasses and brown sugar, cover and bake at 250 degrees for 4 hours.
