How to Make Granma Brown's dumplings
- 1Combine first three ingredients. Add a sufficient amount of milk to make dough easy to handle. The dough should be a little more moist than biscuit dough.
- 2Flour hands and form dumplings 5-6, and put on top of meat or chicken. Do not put in liquid, but on top of meat, so they will steam.
- 3Cover kettle and let boil for 20 min. without opening the kettle.
- 4Makes 5-6 dumplings, I'd double it if I were you, leftovers can be sliced and fried in butter, topped with leftover gravy. Perfect for chicken and dumplings.
