How to Make Grandma Bertha's Pierogi Dough
- Blend til dough leaves sides of bowl. If too sticky, add more flour. Let dough rest 20 - 30 min. Roll on floured board, put 1/2 - 1 tsp filling in center, fold & seal. Drop into oiled boiling water for 10 mins. Pour melted butter on to prevent sticking or can be fried or buttered bread crumbs on top.
- I like saurkraut filling. I mix saurkraut with a little garlic. I sprinkle a little instant potatoes to soak up the juice.
