I can remember having these beans and homemade tortillas hot off the stove...nothing compares to them.

  • 1 lb
  • 1 small
    chopped onion
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    cumin (ground)
  • ·
    salt to taste
  • 2 can(s)
    pinto beans

How to Make Frijoles


  1. combine all ingredients except beans. chop up/stir hamburger and cook till nicely brown. Add both cans of beans and let simmer for about 7 minutes, then get a potato masher and start mashing the beans and meat. Continue till all the beans are mashed and the dish has a loose spread type of consistency. Great with shredded cheese and corn chips. or if you can get 'em...homemade tortillas!
