Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups dry pinto beans
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 2 - slices smoked bacon
- 2 cups water
How To Make frijoles

Step 1Place the beans,sugar, garlic, onions and bacon in slow cooker. Pour in water, cover and cook on high for 6 hours. Drain 2/3 liquid and discard bacon. Use a potato masher to mash beans to a chunky consistency. season with salt to taste and serve hot.
