When I was growing up, my mother went to a Bible class every Monday night at White's Ferry Road in West Monroe. I was responsible for the meal that night. I always made these deviled eggs to go with whatever Mama left to heat up.

Ingredients

hard boiled eggs
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
mayonnaise
1/4 tsp
louisiana hot sauce
1 tsp
yellow mustard
1 Tbsp
dill pickle relish

How to Make Deviled Eggs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and mash with a fork.
  • 2Add all other ingredients except mayonnaise.
  • 3Add the mayonnaise (may have to add more for desired consistency).
  • 4Fill the egg whites with the mixture. Sprinkle with paprika. Chill until serving time.
