I don't know when or where this recipe came from but I got it from my mother and have made it for many many years at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

You can make this a few days in advance keeping it covered in the refrigerator.

For an amazing next day sandwich, turkey, stuffing (or dressing), cream cheese and cranberry sauce!

2 pkg
12 ounce fresh cranberries
1 1/2 c
1 c
fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 c
1/2 c
red wine (cabernet)
1 Tbsp
orange zest
1 tsp
ground ginger
3/4 c
crystallized ginger

How to Make Cranberry Sauce


  • 1Add first 7 ingredients to saucepan. Bring to a boil making sure the sugar dissolves and the cranberries pop (About 10 minutes). Cool completely. Stir crystallized ginger. Cover and refrigerate.
