Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter, melted
  • 2 c
    celery, chopped
  • 1 c
    onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    thyme, leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    seasoning salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 12 c
    dry unseasoned bread cubes
  • 4 c
    chicken broth

How to Make Classic Herb Stuffing

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add celery and onion, cook and stir 5 minutes. Stir in thyme, poultry seasoning, seasoning salt and pepper.
  2. Place bread cubes in large bowl. Add celery mixture and broth; toss gently until well mixed. Spoon into lightly greased 13x9 baking dish.
  3. Bake in preheated oven @ 375 for 35 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.
