A classic recipe for those who prefer bread stuffing to cornbread stuffing.

celery, chopped

onion, chopped

thyme, leaves
1 1/2 tsp
poultry seasoning
1 tsp
seasoning salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
12 c
dry unseasoned bread cubes
4 c
chicken broth

How to Make Classic Herb Stuffing


  • 1Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add celery and onion, cook and stir 5 minutes. Stir in thyme, poultry seasoning, seasoning salt and pepper.
  • 2Place bread cubes in large bowl. Add celery mixture and broth; toss gently until well mixed. Spoon into lightly greased 13x9 baking dish.
  • 3Bake in preheated oven @ 375 for 35 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.
