Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt
  • 1 cup polenta
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 cup shredded Havarti or Fontina
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1/4 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 bunch sage, chopped
  • butter, for serving

How To Make cheesy polenta

  • Step 1
    Add the milk and bay leaf to a large pot. Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add a bunch of salt. Whisk in the polenta and cook for about 30 minutes until no longer grainy. You want it nice and smooth.
  • Step 2
    Remove the bay leaf and whisk in the cheeses and the sage. Serve with a pat of butter.
