quick cooking grits
5 1/3 c
1 tsp
2 Tbsp
4 oz
cream cheese, cubed
6 oz
sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

How to Make Cheesy Grits

  • 1Get your ingredients together
  • 2On med-high heat; bring water and salt to a boil
  • 3Add grits slowly, stir constantly as not to clump or stick.

Reduce the heat to low; cover and cook for 20-25 minutes till desired consistency. Stir every 3-4 min so not to stick.
  • 4When cooked to desired creaminess; add the cream cheese and butter, stir until well blended.
  • 5Now add the cheese, and stir until completely melted and blended.
  • 6These are so creamy and cheesy!..ENJOY

My kids like the leftovers for breakfast w/ bacon crumbled in. Add a little water as these will be thick, heat in a saucepan on low or in the microwave for approx. 1 min, stir and check temp, may need to add a few more seconds.
