Obtained this recipe from a woman at a church function. Not a dish one you usually sees. It was such a different food - but a good one. Thought maybe someone would like to try it.

Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups grits
- 1 stick unsalted butter, cut into chunks
- 1/2 pound sharp white or sharp yellow cheddar cheese - shredded
- 3 large eggs - beaten
How To Make cheesy grits casserole

Step 1Butter a 9 X 13 baking dish.

Step 2In a large pot bring water to a boil. Slowly sprinkle grits in water stirring constantly and return to boil, cooking over low heat until grits are tender and thick.

Step 3Take pot off the heat and stir in butter and cheese and then add the beaten eggs.

Step 4Bake in the oven for one hour at 350 degrees.

Step 5This recipe can be made ahead of time and refrigerated over nite. Just reheat in a 350 degree oven.
