granny clo's cheese grits
This was my Grandmothers recipe and we did not have a Thanksgiving Dinner or Christmas Dinner without Cheese grits on the table. Creamy and good. I bring this to potlucks (as a side dish) and get requests for this recipe frequently. I have adjusted this recipe to be prepared in the crock pot since I have only one oven and like this hot. Yummy!

How To Make granny clo's cheese grits
-
Step 1In the boiling water add grits and salt
-
Step 2add cheese and butter. Cook till all melted
-
Step 3Add eggs but carefully. I take about a cup of hot grits and add the eggs to warm up the eggs so they do not quick cook in hot grit mixture.
-
Step 4Pour eggs/grits mixture back to pan.
-
Step 5Add 3-5 shakes of Tabasco mix and pour into crock pot or casserole dish shake paprika on top.
-
Step 6. Oven- cook @ 350 for an hour or till set. Crock pot- cook on low for 3-4hours till set.
