When I first started learning to cook, I remember my Grandma W making caramelized garlic and caramelized onion. I never knew how she did it, but it always tasted amazing! So I asked her when she started sharing recipes with me, and am glad to have both. The garlic recipe is also posted in JAP.

  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves garlic

How To Make caramelized onions

  • Step 1
Heat olive oil (Grandma said melt, but it is already liquid...lol). Slice onion into hot oil. Crush garlic into pan. Saute on low (yes, low), stirring, until light brown and tender. Taste it. It will be sweet when caramelized.
