I got this recipe many years ago from a friend of my Mother in law.It's always a hit with everyone. It's been pasted on to all my friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make candied cranberries

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients in a large sauce pan.
  • Step 2
    Bring to a boil until berries have come to the top.
  • Step 3
    Reduce heat to low.
  • Step 4
    Cover tightly and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Do not remove cover during cooking.
  • Step 6
    After 15 minutes remove from heat and let cool.
  • Step 7
    Do not lift cover until pan is comepletely cold.
  • Step 8
    You can store in the frig. for several weeks.
