I usually double or even triple the recipe for the large turkey at Thanksgiving.

This recipe is even better if you make it the day before.

1 c
celery, finely chopped
1/2 c
onion, chopped
1/2 c
butter or margarine
1 tsp
poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp
1/8 tsp
8 c
dry bread cubes
3/4 - 1 c
broth or water

How to Make Bread Stuffing


  • 1In skillet, cook celery and onion in butter until tender, but not brown. Remove from heat and add poultry seasoning, salt and pepper.
  • 2Place the dry bread cubes in a large mixing bowl. Add the onion mixture. Drizzel with enough broth or water to moisten, tossing lightly.
  • 3Use to stuff 10 pound turkey.
