One of my latchkey recipes, dictated by my mother via telephone when I came in from school and she was at work.

Ingredients

  • 1 - hard bread (chalah) torn and soaked in water
  • 1 - small frying pepper
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 - onion
  • - salt to taste
  • - pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon oregano, dried
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

How To Make bread kugle

  • Step 1
    dice pepper, onion and celery and brown in oil
  • Step 2
    Save extra oil for use later.
  • Step 3
    Squeeze out bread and add browned veggie mixture.
  • Step 4
    Add 1 or 2 eggs according to size.
  • Step 5
    add salt, pepper, oregano, parsley garlic powder and rest of oil mixture.
  • Step 6
    bake in greased pan at 350 1 hour plus (until center is cooked and firm).
