One of my latchkey recipes, dictated by my mother via telephone when I came in from school and she was at work.

Ingredients

1
hard bread (chalah) torn and soaked in water
1
small frying pepper
2 stalk(s)
celery
1
onion
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1/2 Tbsp
oregano, dried
1 Tbsp
parsley flakes
1 Tbsp
garlic powder

How to Make Bread Kugle

Step-by-Step

  • 1dice pepper, onion and celery and brown in oil
  • 2Save extra oil for use later.
  • 3Squeeze out bread and add browned veggie mixture.
  • 4Add 1 or 2 eggs according to size.
  • 5add salt, pepper, oregano, parsley garlic powder and rest of oil mixture.
  • 6bake in greased pan at 350 1 hour plus (until center is cooked and firm).
