Bread Dumplings

The whole family loves these served with Chicken or Roast beef covered with gravy. Better than potatoes.

1 loaf of regular bread, plus 1loaf of french or italian day old is preferred break into bite size pieces or cube it. seaason with salt, pepper, celery salt onion powder and a little garlic to taste. add about 1 dozen eggs one at a time .


1mix well, not tooo wet, when mixed sprinkle about 2 tbs flour over and toss lightly. form into balls, these will double in size. Makes about 18

Boil a large pan of water add beef or chicken flavoring, when a full boil add dumplings cover and cook about 20 minutes, you can turn now and then with spoon.

These can be made the night before and refrigerated, covered with plastic wrap. Enjoy!
