My sister Carole gave me this recipe and I have been making them in the summers. My neighbors and friends love them. It's so easy. I find cute jars and place a fun label I make on my computer when I give as gifts.

thin sliced cucumbers
1 medium
thin sliced onion
1 c
1/2 c
white vinegar
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
mustard seed
1/4 tsp
celery seed
1/4 tsp

How to Make Bread & Butter Pickles


  • 1Mix all in a 2 quart microwaveable safe dish with cover.
  • 2Cook on high for 7-10 minutes. Stir two times while cooking.
  • 3Let cool and refrigerate.
  • 4Will keep in refrigerator for weeks or freezer. I give as gifts during summer months. Great to put on burgers or just eat by themselves.
