I believe this recipe came from a package of dried black-eyed peas. I use dried black-eyed peas that have been soaked and cooked just until tender.

    onion, chopped
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3 slice
    bacon, chopped
  • 16 oz
    can diced tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 4 c
    cooked black eyed peas

How to Make Black-Eyed Peas Mexican Style


  1. Combine onion, garlic, and bacon. Cook until bacon is brown. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
