I tried several baked bean recipes and this is the one that everyone loves. Made it for a family reunion and it got rave reveiws.

Ingredients

1/2 pound bacon, cubed
1 - onion, chopped
2 cans 15 oz cans baked beans
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup prepared mustard

How To Make best baked beans

Step 1

1.Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Add the onion and saute until tender. Drain excess oil, if desired. Stir in the beans, brown sugar, ketchup and mustard. Cook, stirring occasionally, until bubbly.

Step 2

If you want a thicker baked bean you should drain the cans of baked beans.
