Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 large diced onion
- 1-2 cup diced celery with leaves
- 15 cups toasted 1/2 inch bread cubes
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried sage or 1/4 cup minced fresh sage
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1 cup turkey stock, water, or milk
How To Make basic bread stuffing

Step 1Melt butter in large stockpot.

Step 2Add onion and celery and cook until vegetables are tender but not browned.

Step 3Add to bread cubes in large bowl.

Step 4Add salt, pepper, sage, and parsley and toss until well mixed.

Step 5Add turkey stock and blend well.

Step 6Use to stuff 12 to 14 pound turkey.

Step 7Bake leftover stuffing in lightly greased casserole at 325 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until heated through.
